Function     

The device is a VIR01-A electric-gas hybrid host remote control system, which is suitable for medium/high-speed main propulsion device provided with a gearbox of reverse and forward running clutch. The control and signal transmission part employs electronic mode and the cabin execution part utilizes pneumatic mode. The control precision and distance of the device are at the same level as those of a typical electric MERCS, and the reliability of the device is at the same level as that of a pneumatic MERCS. The driver can remotely control the main diesel engine and gearbox to perform auto clutching, de-clutching, reversing, shifting and other logic operations. Alarms and protective functions such as those for mechanical loads and thermal loads can be provided as required. The device is also provided with protective ports for fault shutdown and fault speed-reduction, and automatic protective functions in event of loss of gas & power. Meanwhile, safety overriding can also be realized. In addition, manual operation can be performed locally as per the instructions from the bridge.

Moreover, VIR01-A possess independent function of security guard and monitoring-alarming of Power system. With further expansion, the function of emergency automatic collision avoidance can be realized by using AIS and Radar signals.
