  The closed chocks are normally adopted for ships which use wire ropes. The radius of chock surface was designed based on the bending ratio of rope through the chock of not less than twelve times of the wire rope diameter.

   Closed Chocks are designed according to JIS F2005 standard and used for holding down line or wire by running it through the center of the chock.
 
They secure line or wire close to the deck and eliminate the line or wire from "riding up" on a bitt.
