Rescue Boat SOLAS Requirements

    A rescue lifeboat is a boat rescue craft which is used to attend a vessel in distress, or its survivors, to rescue crew and passengers. It can be hand pulled, sail powered or powered by an engine. 

    SOLAS Rigid Rescue Boat is a boat designed with specialised features for searching for, rescuing and saving the lives of people in peril at sea or in estuaries.

    Rigid Rescue Boat for 6 Persons with 25HP Outboard Engine, is designed in accordance with the International Convention on SOLAS 1974, Amendment 1996 (MSC47 66), LSACode MSC.226(82), MSC.218(82), MSC.272(85).

    There is fitted an outboard gasoline engine(25HP), There is a fuel oil tank of 50 liter for boat running four hours at the speed of over 6 knots with 6 persons. Two independent chargeable starting systems are installed (two batteries), and a manually operated bilge pump is provided to drain water boat. All the tools and spares for engine are also supplied.

    Console is fitted at the stern at the position of helmsman. The main operation can be  carried out from this place .

The following equipments are fitted on the console :

(2) Remote control for engine
(3) Search light
(4) Compass

    A kind of buoyant material of rigid foam is fited at the stern , ensure  that the rescue boat is capable of being righted by no more than two persons when it is inverted in the water .

    The warranty period is normally limited to max. 18 months from delivery of equipment or 12 months from delivery of vessel to owner, whichever comes first.
